Our mission is to prevent domestic violence among immigrant Africans with the vision to end it in immigrant African communities

 

GRACE St. JUDE is a culturally specific project with a mission to prevent the perpetration of domestic violence among immigrant Africans in Greater Houston – home to large numbers of immigrant Africans. GRACE St. JUDE assists and empowers victims/survivors of domestic violence, and  provides help for the perpetrators. Its vision is to end domestic violence in immigrant African families and communities within and beyond Greater Houston.

In serving immigrant Africans, GRACE St. JUDE:

​

  • recognizes domestic violence as a public health issue.

  • recognizes domestic violence as a serious human rights violation.

  • protects and empowers immigrant African victims/survivors of domestic violence regardless of gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation.

  • works to restore peace in immigrant African families and communities.

  • works to end domestic abuse of African women globally.
