Our vision is to end domestic violence in immigrant African  communities

GRACE St. JUDE is a culturally specific project with a mission to stop and prevent the perpetration of domestic violence against immigrant African women in Greater Houston, and to assist, empower and raise the voices of victims/survivors of such violence in immigrant African communities in the region – home to large numbers of immigrant Africans. Its vision is to end domestic violence in immigrant African families and communities within and beyond Greater Houston.

Although women are more likely than men to be victims/survivors of domestic violence, GRACE St. JUDE recognizes that men also experience domestic violence.

In serving immigrant Africans, GRACE St. JUDE:

  • recognizes domestic violence as a public health issue.

  • recognizes domestic violence as a serious human rights violation.

  • protects and empowers immigrant African victims or survivors of domestic violence.

  • works to restore peace in immigrant African families and communities.

  • works to end domestic abuse of African women globally.
