Domestic violence is also known as intimate partner violence.

Domestic violence is also known as domestic abuse.

 

Domestic violence is not only physical. It includes:

Psychological abuse

​

Emotional abuse

​

Economic/financial abuse

​

Sexual violence​

​

 Its victims include children, families, and communities.

​

BUT there is HELP at the end of the tunnel.

It is the mission of GRACE St. JUDE to  end domestic violence among immigrant Africans through advocacy, education, referrals, and support.

Statistical data specific to African immigrant victims or survivors of domestic violence in the United States are unknown. BUT it is known that in Africa, domestic violence is widespread.
